In addition to these practice areas, Mr. van Oostenrijk routinely handles occupational license and administrative license revocation hearings.  When individuals are charged with alcohol or drug-related offenses, they often lose their driver’s license following the arrest or conviction.  Mr. van Oostenrijk works to preserve their existing driving privileges or obtain an occupational license so that his clients can continue working and/or going to school.  In order to have an ALR hearing, you must request that hearing within 15 days of the date of your arrest.  If you fail to do so, your driver’s license will be suspended.  In order to obtain an occupational license, you must have SR-22 insurance, current automobile liability insurance, pay all appropriate surcharges and, in some cases, install an ignition interlock on your vehicle.
